Mae + Keynan’s day was one to remember. They got married at the Provo City Center Temple the first weekend of May and we LUCKED OUT. The day before and the day after the wedding were filled with icy wind and snow, but on the wedding day we enjoyed a 75 degree day with warm breezes and partially cloudy skies.
Before Covid, I could typically rely on an exit to happen about 1 hour after the sealing began. Is it just me, or are they speeding things up? I now arrive at the temple 30 minutes after the sealing begins and even then I’m not sure if that’s enough time. By the time I got there, the family was out and already talking. The couple ended up exiting 45 minutes after the sealing began. It’s definitely worth arriving eariler than you think you need to arrive.
Something i always bring to weddings is sugar free fruit snacks. They come in handy when i’m trying to get a kid to stop screaming or smile for the family photo. The kids were all awesome and i completely forgot I had them until the portraits when the groom joked about getting hangry. I was glad to have them on hand!
The bridal party wore a combo of pinks, peaches and neutrals and I was in love with how it meshed with the temple’s light colored brick!
I will always be a cheerleader for beautiful DIY weddings. This couple rented a tent and booked a campground in the beautiful Wasatch Mountain State Park. The tent was surrounded by beautiful spring blooms and was filled with beautiful rugs, and places to louge and the biggest chip basket I’ve ever seen. The father of the Bride baked the cake, and EVERYONE was on the dance floor at one point as they danced the night away. Mae + Keynan left for their honeymoon surrounded by a magical bubble exit.
