On December 20th I parked my car in City Creek, grabbed my camera bag, and walked towards the Salt Lake Temple. It was the last time I had plans to shoot there...possibly ever. I definitely was feeling a little emotional but that all changed when I saw my bride walk up from the stairs. Lindsey and Dallon were the kind of couple that makes everyone around them just feel awesome! I met Lindsey at a session I did for her family during the summer and immediately clicked with them. They are the type of family that vibes super well together and honestly makes you feel like you're one of them. Every encounter with this couple and family left me with laughter and fond memories.
Lindsey chose a gorgeous formal black, white, and deep red for her colors which really made her bridal party pop in the December greys. Even though Christmas was only 5 days away, we were surprised with GORGEOUS weather! The sky was blue and sunny and the temperature was a toasty 40-45 degrees!
I worked along @joshsalesfilms and HOLY! He was so much fun to work with! It makes a big difference when you work with a videographer that shares your enthusiasm and love for weddings! I'd definitely recommend him to future brides!
The Salt Lake Temple is anticipated to be closed for 4-5 years. It's hard to say if I'll be doing weddings at that time in my life. The goal is to have like... a million babies and be done with school! I don't think I'll ever be able to cut photography out of my life, but the thought of never shooting at this specific temple again is a little sobering and eye opening. I was grateful that my last SLC temple wedding ended on such a fantastic note!!
